I always say I don’t have an OTP. Actually I think Angel and Collins come close.

UGH.

Okay idk if any of you care or feel the same but damn I love RENT so much.

It will no doubt be mortifying, but do it!

So I’ve been drinking…

… and as a result I’ve been watching RENT all night on Netflix just to sing along.

People that don’t respond nicely to compliments or just dismiss them don’t really deserve them

okay but consider this:
sometimes people don’t respond nicely or dismiss them because they don’t think they deserve them
you dont give people compliments so that they’ll be grateful (or if you do you’re an asshat), you give them for the other person

Severe emotional abuse leaves one generally unable to accept or even understand a compliment. After years of emotional neglect, it is difficult to believe that one off-the-cuff compliment during one afternoon is really real.

especially when some people can go their whole lives with their family and friends psychologically manipulating and abusing them and so, even when they know that and have outwardly moved on, they will never quite understand why someone who doesn’t know them would think fondly of them, when those who love them most don’t.

I spent a lot of my life utterly paranoid about being seen as arrogant, as well— I am still extremely uncertain how to accept a compliment, even though I have figured out that it’s okay to do so.

Doom is just very interested on what people place their butts on. A legitimate query in Latveria!

I tend to place my butt on whatever is most convenient for what I wish to do. At the moment, that is either the floor or the couch, because my computer is on the coffee table.
